In an unprecedented act of brutality, nearly 300 students have been shot dead under the heinous "shoot at sight" orders issued by the current goverment  in Bangladesh over their peaceful ‘quota reform’ protests. This ruthless crackdown has left several thousand more students critically injured, casting a shadow of despair over the nation.

The courage and spirit of these young students, who stood up against oppression and injustice, now cry out for justice and solidarity. It is imperative that we, as a global community, come together in this time of crisis to support the victims and their families.

Each fallen and injured student represents a symbol of hope and resistance against the darkness of dictatorship. Their sacrifice must not be forgotten; their bravery must not be in vain. We must unite in a revolutionary mission to provide aid and support to those who have been mercilessly targeted by this brutal regime.
 
Despite being 12,000 km away from my beloved country and campus, I felt restless and helpless, yearning to support and stand by the students at my alma mater—the very institution that shaped my identity a decade ago. Many of us are offering individual support to the victims, but with thousands of injured students, it's impossible for anyone to aid them all single-handedly. Just as we fight for light and justice, we need another movement to heal both physical and psychological wounds.
 
In response, I created the HelpHeroes platform to unite student victims with former students working in Bangladesh and abroad. By connecting donors with the injured students, HelpHeroes—born at Harvard Medical School, USA—aims to forge a powerful global network of support. This platform aims to provide the necessary medical care, long-term rehabilitation, and financial assistance to help these students recover and rebuild their lives.
